It's been a week since we've been assigned a new project for the uni. We were all given a colour (randomly) to explore and to come up with a design that's going to 'explain' it ( in cultural, social, or any other way). How we are going to do it, it's totally up to us.
The colour I've got is carbon. At first I was disappointed since it's not an actual colour, it's an abscence of one. And I was even more disapponited when I googled carbon and 90% of the images were cars, carbon fibre, and other 'manly' stuff. But then I remembered that carbon is so much more than a tint for a BMW or a fancy skin for your MacBook. It's a chemical element that is in basis of all living creatures and organic world in general. IT'S BLOODY EVERYWHERE!Now, when I know that it was a mistake to look at carbon as a shade of grey and nothing else ( although, there's no such thing as 'nothnig else', there's always, ALWAYS something more)I'm exploring it through chemistry ( which is ironic, since I used to fail chemistry in high school, and hated it so much). I'm focusing on it's physical features and their place in society more than on it's formulas and other really chemistry-wise part, but nothing guarantees that it's going to say that way. So far I came up with several ideas ( they are all still 'raw' and waiting to be researched) and you can read them on a mind map I put in my scrapbook folder.

Any suggestions, tips, (literally ANYTHING) are welocome :)
